Two local companies have formed a joint venture to help the region’s firms through the human resources and tax maze – after meeting at the Ricoh Arena
Coventry-based Vital HR has joined forces with Nuneaton accountancy firm Stewart Fletcher & Barrett to launch SFB HR Support.
The two firms have worked closely over the last few years after meeting through the Premier Club at the Ricoh but felt that changes in employment legislation and the current economic climate needed a more joined up approach.
Jon Darling, managing director of Vital HR based in The Quadrant, said: “It has become increasingly clear over the past few months that HR issues are being bound ever closer with finance and tax.
“That has accelerated with the current economic climate and changes in the workplace that we are inevitably seeing as a result of downturn.
“We are HR specialists and have built up a wide range of clients throughout the Midlands and across the UK.
“We have worked with Stewart, Fletcher & Barrett for a while and have found that the amount of collaboration has increased dramatically to the point where a stand-alone firm which can call on the specialist knowledge of both companies is the way forward.”
Stewart Fletcher & Barrett, based in Manor Court Road, Nuneaton, has been established for more than 50 years and employs around 50 staff.
Senior partner Paul Carvell said the new company had proved that the Premier Club worked as a networking venue.
“Like everything else, you get out what you put in, but certainly meeting the guys from Vital HR has proved good for both companies and we are working very well together.”
SFB HR Support has also launched a helpline for companies to allow them direct 24 hour access to its services, which can be reached on 0844 330 4121.
