A group of Premier Club members have been swapping footballs for golf balls at The Belfry.

The host of the Ryder Cup on four occasions – more than any other venue across the globe – has set up a new partnership with the Premier Club.

Members of the Premier Club can now hit the fairways on the famous Brabazon golf course – which has tested some of the world’s best players.

Premier Club member Nick Whitehead from Nuneaton-based Exitile Limited said: “I felt really privileged to play on The Brabazon course because I have seen it on television and it is a fantastic course. My game didn’t quite match the surroundings!

“It was great to mix with Premier Club members and their guests and this is definitely the way forward to join with other organisations such as The Belfry. It was a fantastic day.”

Tynan Scope, National Manager of the Premier Club, said this was another opportunity for members to network and socialise while enjoying a game of golf at a top-class venue.

“We were looking to add additional benefits to give value to our membership and linking up with The Belfry seemed an ideal match,” he said.

“We wanted to build better relationships away from matchday which is always very busy.

“We launched a summer offer exclusive to Premier Club members to play a round on The Brabazon course and stay overnight at The Belfry’s hotel which proved popular, and throughout the winter we will be teaming up to provide further packages.

“Having a game of golf on such a wonderful course gives members the chance to relax and get to know each other better away from matchdays and the initial feedback has been positive.

“It is also a great way for members to treat their employees, customers or suppliers as well as meet other local businesses.”

Adam Ward, Golf Account Manager at The Belfry, said the arrangement meant they could bring some of their clients to watch the Sky Blues.

“It is a great way to bring members of the Premier Club to The Belfry and we want to build on this relationship,” he said.
